Refinement Wagner | Portland Interior Designer & Project Manager

Refinement Wagner, a Pacific Northwest native, is an experienced interior designer, project manager, and outdoor enthusiast with a passion for solution-driven design. As a graduate of the renowned Heritage School of Interior Design in Portland, Oregon, Refinement combines her training and expertise to guide clients through every phase of the interior design process. In 2021, she founded Design With Refinement, providing exceptional residential interior design services in greater Portland.

Her portfolio includes a diverse range of commercial and residential projects, from workspace design and full-home interiors to the execution of build-outs and installations, such as a local dental clinic renovation. Refinement is committed to sourcing unique, high-quality, and sustainable furnishings while expertly managing timelines, budgets, and contractor coordination. Her extensive network of contractors and vendors ensures smooth project execution and high-quality results.

With over a decade of experience in project management, strategic marketing, media relations, and branding within the commercial real estate and property management sector, Refinement has contributed to numerous tenant improvement and interior design projects. She also has a strong background in event planning, sponsorships, and community engagement, shaping her well-rounded, purpose-driven approach to design.

Refinement earned her B.A. in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University, where she developed a deep commitment to nonprofit work. She has volunteered with organizations such as the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, Boys and Girls Aid Society’s Mentor Portland program, New Avenues for Youth, Project Lemonade, OHSU Knight Cancer Challenge/Unite for the Knight, World Pulse and many more. She also served as Chair of the Ambassador Board for CASA for Children, of Multnomah, Washington, and Columbia County, co-chaired the Interior Design Society’s Portland Chapter Swatched fundraiser and sat on the Communications Committee for the Multnomah Athletic Club. Currently, she is an active member of the Pacific Northwest Leadership Council for the Children’s Cancer Association and serves as a troop leader for her youngest daughters’ Girl Scouts Troop!

When she's not designing, Refinement enjoys spending time with her kids, traveling, hiking, reading, and exploring the Portland food scene.
